Study & Get Things Done

Need a place to work after school?

The Teen Space offers tables and seating where teens can study, complete homework, work on projects, read, or collaborate with friends.

Computers & Technology

Teens in grades 7–12 have access to computers designated for youth at the Main Library.

There’s Always Something Happening

Teen programs offer opportunities to learn something new, meet other teens, be creative, play, and have fun.

Activities may include:

  • Games and social activities

  • Arts, crafts, and creative projects

  • Workshops and learning opportunities

  • Book-related activities

  • After-school pop-up programs

  • Seasonal and special events

  • Community service opportunities

Make Your Voice Heard: Join the Youth Advisory Council

Want to help shape Teen Services at Lawrence Public Library? The Youth Advisory Council gives teens an opportunity to share ideas, provide feedback, help with Library activities, and contribute to programs and services designed for young people. It is also an opportunity to build leadership skills, connect with other teens, and become more involved in your Library and community.

Looking for Community Service Hours?

Lawrence Public Library offers opportunities for teens interested in giving back to the community while gaining experience and developing new skills. Volunteer and community service opportunities depend on current Library needs, available projects, and staff supervision.

Planning a Group Visit?

Schools, classrooms, youth organizations, and other groups are welcome to request a visit to Lawrence Public Library.
